Florida High School Volleyball - Anclote overwhelmed by Tarpon Springs
August 19, 2025: Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Anclote Sharks (Holiday, FL), 3-0 in a league challenge.
The Spongers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Largo (Largo, FL). The Packers go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Largo gained a win over Countryside (Clearwater, FL), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Sharks now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fivay for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. Anclote will play a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
