August 20, 2024: Iola, TX 77861 Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Iola improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to face the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 20. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 10-1. Lufkin won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Carthage (Carthage, TX)
The Bulldogs now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Joseph Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, August 30. New Waverly will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to BVCHEA HomeSchool (Bryan, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
