Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Peach County Trojans (Fort Valley, GA), 7-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Academy for Classical Education upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Gryphons host Northeast (Macon, GA) to play the Raiders in a 1A D-I Region 2 game on Thursday, August 21. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 0-1. Northeast lost 21-0 in their recent league game against Washington County (Sandersville, GA)

The Trojans now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Westover for a 3A Region 1 game on Thursday, August 21. Peach County will play a Patriots squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Cairo (Cairo, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-4.
