Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), observed Piedmont's volleyball team top South Stanly by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Marvin Ridge achieved victory over Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
