August 21, 2025: Lawndale, NC 28090 The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) and the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), saw Burns's volleyball squad notch a victory over East Gaston by a score of 2-0.
With the win, Burns improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host East Rutherford (Bostic, NC) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league battle on Monday, August 25. The Cavaliers go into the battle with a record of 1-3. East Rutherford lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against McDowell (Marion, NC)
The Warriors now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cherryville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 26. East Gaston will meet a Ironmen team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 1-3.
