August 21, 2025: Weirton, WV 26062 The Catholic Central Crusaders soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host Weir Red Riders to 4 in the Crusaders league victory on Thursday.
The Crusaders now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Trinity Christian for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 26. Catholic Central will play a Warriors squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Clarksburg, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Weir moves to 0-1 on the year. The Red riders host Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV) to play the Maroon Knights in a Freelance bout on Saturday, August 23. The Maroon Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Wheeling Central Catholic won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH)
