North Carolina High School Volleyball - Carson over West Stanly

The Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Salisbury for a South Piedmont 4A/5A bout on Tuesday, August 26. Carson will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lexington Senior (Lexington, NC). The Hornets record now stands at 1-1.

The Colts (4-1) will now prepare for their match against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, South Stanly was outscored by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 3-1, in a non-league match.
