August 21, 2025: Gunter, TX 75058 The Gunter Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Vega Longhorns to 0 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Tigers now have a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Peaster for a non-league outing on Friday, August 22. Gunter will confront a Greyhounds squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Eagle Mountain (Fort Worth, TX). The Greyhounds record now stands at 8-4.
The Longhorns (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Poteet gained a win over Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.
