August 21, 2025: La Joya, TX 78560 IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mission (Mission, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Mission beat Nixon (Laredo, TX), 3-2, in a league challenge.
Next, the Coyotes meet the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 22. La Joya will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Wolverines go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to McAllen (McAllen, TX).
