August 15, 2025: Brownsville, TX 78520 La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, La Joya advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Porter (Brownsville, TX) to face the Cowboys in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Porter won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Raymondville (Raymondville, TX)
Next, the Golden Eagles play the Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 16. Hanna will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX).
