August 21, 2025: Leonard, TX 75452 Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Leonard improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Como-Pickton (Como, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 6-3. Como-Pickton won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX)
The Bears now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mildred for a non-league test on Friday, August 22. Sulphur Bluff will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-2.
