In Monday's non-league contest, the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the host Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Black Hawks face the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 23. North Buncombe will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC).

With the loss, Mitchell moves to 0-1 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to Erwin (Asheville, NC) to face the Warriors in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 25.
