August 22, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the visiting South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC), saw Piedmont's soccer squad knock off South Iredell by a count of 5-2.
The Panthers now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, August 24. Piedmont will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, South Iredell drops to 0-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Statesville (Statesville, NC) to meet the Greyhounds in a non-league test on Wednesday, August 23. The Greyhounds come into the test with a record of 0-2. Statesville lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
