Georgia High School Softball - Pinewood Christian bounces Edmund Burke Academy
August 22, 2023: Waynesboro, GA 30830 Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Patriots now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Citizens Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 24. Pinewood Christian will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, Edmund Burke Academy falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA) to battle the Buccaneers in a GIAA 2AA challenge on Thursday, August 24. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Briarwood Academy lost 9-5 in their recent league challenge against Brentwood (Sandersville, GA)
