Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV), 7-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Hoover advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Huskies host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to clash with the Minutemen in a non-league test on Saturday, August 24. The Minutemen come into the test with a record of 2-1. Lewis County lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against University (Morgantown, WV)

The Irish now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Albans for a non-league test on Saturday, August 24.
