August 22, 2024: Lexington, NC 27295 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) and the host West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC), witnessed Wheatmore's football squad edge West Davidson by a tally of 12-8.
The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, East Davidson was nudged by Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC), 28-8, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Dragons battle the Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 29. West Davidson will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 50-14 non-league loss to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).
