August 22, 2024: Marietta, GA 30066 The Kell Longhorns softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Pope Greyhounds to 3 in the Longhorns non-league win on Thursday.
The Longhorns now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a 4A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, August 27. Kell will encounter a Knights team coming off a 18-10 league win over Blessed Trinity (Roswell, GA). The Knights record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, Pope moves to 7-3 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Creekview (Canton, GA) to encounter the Grizzlies in a 5A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a record of 8-4. Creekview won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Cherokee (Canton, GA)
