The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA) and the visiting Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA), witnessed Philipsburg-Osceola's football squad knock off Central by a tally of 48-24.

The Mountaineers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA). The Lions enter the Laurel Highlands contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Chestnut Ridge gained a win over Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA), 27-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Dragons battle the Greater Johnstown Trojans (Johnstown, PA) in a Laurel Highlands bout, on Friday, August 29. Central will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 27-6 league loss to Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA).
