In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Cherokee Chiefs football team scored a nice 34-13 win over the Pigeon Forge Tigers.

With the win, Cherokee advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chiefs host Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN) to play the Cougars in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Campbell County lost 43-7 in their recent non-league battle against Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN)

The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 28. Pigeon Forge will play a Eagles team coming off a 44-7 non-league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
