In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Riverside Vikings football squad scored a close 17-14 triumph over the Dunmore Bucks.

With the win, Riverside improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings host Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA) to play the Hawkeyes in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Hawkeyes go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Hanover Area lost 42-24 in their recent non-league battle against Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA)

The Bucks now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Old Forge for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Dunmore will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 20-7 non-league loss to West Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
