Georgia High School Football - Langston Hughes triumphant over Mays

August 22, 2025: Atlanta, GA 30331

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) and the host Mays Raiders (Atlanta, GA), witnessed Langston Hughes's football team bounce Mays by a final score of 42-7.

With the win, Langston Hughes advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers host Douglas County (Douglasville, GA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 2-0.

Coming up next, the Raiders confront the Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 29. Mays will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Astros enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 35-7 non-league loss to Westlake (Atlanta, GA).
