Unity Christian Lions (Rome, GA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Praise Academy Lions (Powder Springs, GA), 71-0 in a non-league match.

The Lions (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Central Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Crusaders come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Central Christian routed Peachtree Academy (Covington, GA), 37-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS (Griffin, GA) in a GAPPS A Region 1 (9 Man) battle, on Friday, August 29. Praise Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The LIONS go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 14-6 non-league loss to Victory Baptist (Loganville, GA).
