Texas High School Volleyball - Bishop can't get by Cigarroa

Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Toros (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Sharyland was nudged by McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Badgers meet the Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 22. Bishop will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over La Joya (La Joya, TX).
