In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Grant Tigers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Saxons go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.

The Crusaders now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fremont for a non-league test on Friday, August 22.
