In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Porter Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Tomas .

The Spartans (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nimitz (Houston, TX). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Nimitz was defeated by Legacy School of Sport Sciences (Spring, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The now own a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sweeny for a non-league test on Friday, August 22. Tomas will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cypress Creek (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-4.
