Match Summary
The Varsity Lady Pirates took the court Tuesday Aug 23rd against Union Co for an away game. The Pirates didn't start strong nor did they finish strong. We identified some weak points in our formation leaving large gaps where balls were being placed out of reach and the girls consistently had delayed reactions. Although they were moving their feet and diving frequently, their timing was off and they were unable to come back. The first set was working out kinks, the second set there was a lack of communication and coverage and the third set started out the strongest for the Pirates with high energy and many good plays. However, Union Co. took the win and that ended any opportunity of a come back. There were still some exceptional moments to include, Kylie Ferguson making great digs and an attack. Abigail Epperson, Brianna McLaughlin and Kylie Ferguson adding in ace serves. The player of the game award goes to Riley Nicely for being all over the court with precision.
