Kentucky High School Volleyball - South Laurel edged by Barren County
August 23, 2025: Glasgow, KY 42141 Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Barren County improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to meet the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Knott County Central won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY)
Next, the Cardinals meet the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) in a District 50 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. South Laurel will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Colonels go into the test with a 4-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY).
