Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) and the host Fenton Tigers (Fenton, MI), saw South Lyon East's volleyball squad notch a victory over Fenton by a score of 2-0.

With the win, South Lyon East improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Cougars host Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI) to encounter the Knights in a Lakes Valley battle on Thursday, September 4. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Tigers now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to DeWitt for a non-league contest on Wednesday, August 27. Fenton will battle a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Forest Hills Central (Grand Rapids, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
