The Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) volleyball knocked off the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Walker for a 1A Area 5 bout on Tuesday, August 26. Mount Vernon will clash with a Wolverines team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Springs (Atlanta, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 11-5.
