The Highlands Owls tipped the visiting McCollum Cowboys volleyball squad by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Owls now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Brackenridge for a 5A Region IV District 27 bout on Tuesday, August 26. Highlands will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Wagner (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, McCollum drops to 10-4 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Southside (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Cardinals in a 5A Region IV District 28 match on Tuesday, August 26.
