The Leander Lions volleyball squad (Leander, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting La Vernia Bears (La Vernia, TX)

The Bears (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX). The Timberwolves enter the non-league challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last challenge, Cedar Park was tipped by Georgetown (Georgetown, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Hendrickson Hawks (Pflugerville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Leander will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 4-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Madison (San Antonio, TX).
