In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) volleyball squad edged the visiting Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Vikings battle the Terry Sanford Bulldogs (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 25. Union Pines will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC).

With the loss, Harnett Central drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to battle the Eagles in a All American 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, August 30. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 1-3. Western Harnett lost 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Lee County (Sanford, NC)
