Georgia High School Softball - Allatoona nudges River Ridge
August 24, 2023: Woodstock, GA 30188 Allatoona Buccaneers (Acworth, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), 4-3 in a league challenge.
The Buccaneers now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Houston County for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 25. Allatoona will face a Bears squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Bears record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, River Ridge falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Etowah (Woodstock, GA) to face the Eagles in a 6A Region 6 challenge on Friday, August 25. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Etowah lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Woodstock (Woodstock, GA)
