Georgia High School Softball - Elbert County holds off Stephens County
August 24, 2023: Elberton, GA 30635 Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Athens Christian for a 1A D-I Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, August 29.
With the loss, Stephens County falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 8-0. Prince Avenue Christian won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Stephens County (Toccoa, GA)
