The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) and the visiting Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), saw Anderson-Shiro's volleyball squad nip Lexington by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Anderson-Shiro upgrades its record to 11-5 on the year. The Fighting Owls travel to Brazos (Wallis, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Brazos won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Faith Academy (Bellville, TX)

The Eagles now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Thorndale for a non-league bout on Friday, August 25. Lexington will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Gatesville (Gatesville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-18.
