Kentucky High School Soccer - Prestonsburg toppled by South Laurel
August 24, 2024: London, KY 40744 South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Prestonsburg Blackcats (Prestonsburg, KY), 7-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Laurel moves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host George Rogers Clark (Winchester, KY) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league test on Monday, August 26. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 2-2. George Rogers Clark lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Campbell County (Alexandria, KY)
The Blackcats now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lawrence County for a District 57 test on Tuesday, August 27. Prestonsburg will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 5-0 league win over Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.
