Kentucky High School Soccer - Pikeville toppled by South Laurel
August 31, 2024: Pikeville, KY 41501 South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Laurel moves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Lincoln County (Stanford, KY) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 4-0.
The Panthers now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby Valley for a District 57 test on Monday, September 2. Pikeville will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.
