The Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD) football routed the visiting Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), 42-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Bucks/Gazelles face the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Yankton will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 51-27 league win over More (Rapid City, SD).
