August 25, 2023: Locust Grove, OK 74352 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Sequoyah Eagles (Claremore, OK) and the host Locust Grove Pirates (Locust Grove, OK), saw Sequoyah's volleyball squad beat Locust Grove by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Sequoyah upgrades its record to 2-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Oologah (Oologah, OK) to play the Mustangs in a Green Country bout on Friday, August 25. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Oologah lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Inola (Inola, OK)
The Pirates now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Skiatook for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. Locust Grove will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Pryor (Pryor, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-11.
