Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Marquette Catholic Blazers (Michigan City, IN) and the host Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN), observed Marquette Catholic's volleyball team top Michigan City by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Marquette Catholic improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Blazers host DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN) to encounter the Knights in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. The Knights go into the test with a record of 1-4.

The Wolves now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portage for a Duneland test on Tuesday, August 26. Michigan City will meet a Indians team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over East Chicago Central (East Chicago, IN). The Indians record now stands at 3-3.
