Indiana High School Volleyball - Tri-County can't hold off South Newton

August 25, 2025: Kentland, IN 47951

In Monday's league match, the South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) volleyball team held off the visiting Tri-County Cavaliers (Wolcott, IN), by a margin of 3-2.

The Rebels now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Central for a Midwest Athletic bout on Tuesday, August 26. South Newton will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Tri-County drops to 2-5 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN) to confront the Indians in a non-league match on Thursday, August 28. The Indians enter the match with a record of 6-3. Twin Lakes lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Rossville (Rossville, IN)
