In Friday's non-league game, the Highland Home Flying Squadron (Highland Home, AL) football team got by the visiting Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), by a score of 34-33.

The Flying Squadron (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Goshen (Goshen, AL). The Eagles come into the 2A Region 3 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Goshen nipped Zion Chapel (Jack, AL), 46-21, in a non-league outing.
