The North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) football edged the visiting Wyoming Valley West Spartans (Plymouth, PA), 20-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. North Pocono will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 41-6 non-league win over Lake-Lehman (Lehman, PA).

The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Knights enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Scranton nudged Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA), 25-22, in a non-league bout.
