Georgia High School Softball - Academy for Classical Education bounces Wayne County
August 26, 2023: Macon, GA 31210 Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Gryphons now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peachtree Ridge for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. Academy for Classical Education will face a Lions squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Mill Creek (Hoschton, GA). The Lions record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Wayne County falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to face the Herons in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. The Herons enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Brantley County won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA)
