Maine High School Soccer - Washburn toppled by Ashland
August 26, 2025: Ashland, ME 04732 Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Washburn Beavers (Washburn, ME), 6-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Ashland advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to play the Warriors in a Class D - North outing on Thursday, September 4. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Southern Aroostook lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME)
Next up, the Beavers play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a Class D - North outing, on Thursday, August 28. Washburn will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Owls go into the outing with a 1-1 record after their 5-1 league win over Easton (Easton, ME).
