August 26, 2025: Appomattox, VA 24522 The Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) volleyball held off the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Raiders now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckingham for a non-league match on Thursday, August 28.
The Lancers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Phoenix enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Mecklenburg County held off Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA), 2-1, in a non-league match.
