August 26, 2025: Shady Spring, WV 25918 Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) and the visiting Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV), observed Shady Spring's volleyball team hold off Greenbrier East by a count of 2-1.
The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Timberwolves enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
The Spartans now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicholas County for a battle on Tuesday, September 2. Greenbrier East will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-2.
