The New Garden Friends Bears (Greensboro, NC) volleyball knocked off the host Piedmont Classical Bobcats (Browns Summit, NC), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Bears now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bradford Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, August 29.

With the loss, Piedmont Classical drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Phoenix Academy (High Point, NC) to clash with the Firebirds in a Northwest Piedmont 1A/2A bout on Thursday, August 28. The Firebirds come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Phoenix Academy won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Millennium (Mount Airy, NC)
