Georgia High School Volleyball - Valor Christian over Academe of the Oaks
August 27, 2025: Decatur, GA 30030 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Valor Christian Lions (Alpharetta, GA) and the host Academe of the Oaks Firebirds (Decatur, GA), observed Valor Christian's volleyball team top Academe of the Oaks by a tally of 3-0.
The Lions (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Duluth, GA). The Irish Wolfhounds enter the GCAA Region I challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Notre Dame Academy was defeated by Covenant Christian Academy (Cumming, GA), 2-0, in a league test.
The Firebirds now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity Prep for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Academe of the Oaks will face a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Lions record now stands at 9-2.
