Georgia High School Softball - Fitzgerald loses to Cook
August 28, 2023: Fitzgerald, GA 31750 The Cook Hornets softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Cook moves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Sumter County (Americus, GA) to clash with the Panthers in a 2A Region 1 game on Thursday, August 31. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 2-4. Sumter County lost 12-0 in their recent league game against Berrien (Nashville, GA)
In their next game, the Purple Hurricane clash with the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a 2A Region 1 game, on Tuesday, August 29. Fitzgerald will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 5-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Worth County (Sylvester, GA).
